I now own two of these scales and have found them to be perfect for judging my diet progress. The reading changes while one moves around and then blinks when it has stabilized at the final weight; the weight is then displayed for several seconds after stepping off the scale. The scales produce weights that agree with my physician's balance beam scale to within a fraction of a pound, which is all that his can produce. They are also highly consistent in repeated sequential weighings involving stepping off for a minute and stepping back on with a new position. The readings are given to 0.2 pound increments, but it is hard to know if it is actually accurate to that small an increment. In any event, this is a vast improvement over my previous scales that changed weight by more than a pound depending on where you stood on them and generally read about four pounds too high. This scale just uses four pressure sensors, and has no moving parts. The longer used of the two has just needed replacement of its single button cell after nine months of nearly daily use. I suspected a problem when the scale read about 1.5 pounds lighter than expected and then produced a more believable higher weight an hour later, in which time I had not eaten anything. The battery voltage tested at 94% of that of a new cell and, with replacement, now produces consistent weights again. So battery life can be expected to be a respectable nine months.With accuracy, light weight, simple low profile design and low price, this scale worth buying.
