Not as accurate as I wanted

Easy to read and nice appearance, but it changes up to 5 lbs every time you step on it, which can be a little frustrating.

Simple device, like a wind-up alarm clock

It is a cheap mechanical scale which is the reason I bought it. Didn't need electronic readouts or extreme accuracy. Just a basic bathroom scale. The adjustment knob needs to be zeroed out after nearly every use, but it's a minor thing. The dial is easy to read and the design is simple and clean.

DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY

Based on the 5 star review, I purchased this scale. It really doesn't weigh properly. Added 5 - 10 pounds to every one in the family, based on our older, very expensive scale. Then we tried actual weights.... 16 pounds came up as 11. If it had been consistently wrong, we could have made an adjustment. You get what you pay for? Can't believe the other review! Amazon, for the first time, you have let me down.
