Product Description
The new bioweigh-ir body composition scale from american weigh allows you view a complete breakdown of your body fat, water, muscle, and bone. the scale works on the principle of bia (bio impedance analysis). by passing a safe electrical current through your body via the metal contacts and using weight, height, and age data, your lean/fat-free body mass is calculated.this is then subtracted from your body weight to obtain body fat mass. note: although the scale uses a safe electrical current, those with pacemakers or other electronic implants should not use this scales body fat feature.

The remote works fine.The scale is accurate and very thin (only 1 inch).Repeated weighings of the same person shows the same weight.Good price.The remote is complex, but after you learn how to use it, it's very easy to use.

You can too easily accidentally enter edit mode for the users. I have frequently tried to just press to save my weight entry and accidentally switched it into edit mode. The display is not as user friendly as I'd hoped. It would be great if the base would also display the weight, so one wouldn't be tied to the separate display.

Very convenient to be able to see your weight in front of your eyes rather than having to look down. The only shortcoming is that it doesn't compute BMI but if you do that once, it doesn't change much.
