The 9-inch x 5-inch platform size is the perfect take-along scale. Great companion for the gym, traveling, dorm rooms, you name it. It's compact to fit in backpacks, gym bags, vanity drawers. Purses, etc. Don't let the small size fool you-this scale means business. The mini scale has an impressive 350 lb. weight capacity. The 1-inch LCD readout pulls out for better viewing but tucks back in for traveling. The profile is less than 1 inch thick which includes a layer of tempered safety glass. The 7086 has a 5 year warranty and runs on 1 long life lithium battery (included). Weight can be displayed in either LB or KG with 0.2lb/0.1kg increments. In these times of down-sizing, why not down-size your scale too? The 7086 mini scale from Taylor proves once and for all if you're looking for quality and precision, size doesn't matter.

Bought the black model at Target, but otherwise exactly the same. Great bang-for-the-buck if you just want a simple, easy to read (& store) bathroom scale.PRO:- Small footprint! (5" x 9" size means it fit next to a sink, toilet, etc when not in use...as opposed to full-size scales that always seem to stick out as a tripping hazard.)- Glass surface. (Easy to clean!)- Auto-shutoff and auto zero.- Locks in weight in <5 seconds and flashes result.- Uses readily available CR2032 lithium button-cell battery.CON:- Small footprint! (You can't step on this flat footed, as the 5" depth is so short. Best strategy is to place heels on the scale with toes pointed straight out over the front. Not difficult, but requires ability to balance steady for a few seconds while it locks in the reading.)- Glass surface. (Slippery with wet feet!)
