We have two cats - One too Big, and one too small. The Vet has asked us to "monitor" the weight of both....suggesting we bring them in once a month to weigh them. Both don't travel very well to the VET's Office and I wanted avoid that "Kitty Trauma" - so we bought this scale vs. the Salter Baby Scale.....and we are really happy we did. One of the best "Features" for this scale is that not only are we now able to weigh both cats quickly and easily, it's also a nice, neutral white color that we also use as our new Bath Scale in our bathroom....vs. a baby scale that would be for the cats only.The product is very easy to use....IF you read the directions. I initially just pulled it out of the box with the attitude "I can figure this out - no problem"....WRONG. After I messed around for two minutes, I took the 5 minutes to read the instructions and weight only scale function & changing to "Mother Baby" Mode are simple to do.To weigh the cats - (In "Mother Baby" Mode) you simply stand on and your weight appears, locks in with a beep and the "Mother" Icon is lit. You then step off, pick up the cat - step on, and the weight of the cat appears with a beep and the "Baby" Icon is lit. Of course your cat will need to be a little cooperative in the process. He/She will need to be close and willing to be picked up. As you will see on my pictures - the Big Cat was easier to handle than the little one when we took initial weights ! Even if the cat wriggles around...I have to believe this is an easier way than trying to get them to sit still on a Baby Scale cradle.Most importantly - the scale is accurate. My weight was painfully close to my weight at the doctor's office last month - and the cats weights were within .2 of the Vet Visit. I really like the idea of using this scale as a guide for if either cat is progressing or regressing in its weight.I really think this is a great product idea that captures what we as Pet Owners needed for weighing smaller pets. I also started weighing small boxes for UPS and just weighed my travel bag before we hit the road....no excess weight baggage fees for me ! I love this product and recommend it highly !

I bought this scale to track my 8-month-old's weight because apparently she lost a half a pound last month! (Never had a kid lose weight before, so it kinda freaked me out a bit.)I've been playing with this scale a whole heck of a lot since I got it, and I must say: This scale is AWESOME. This is seriously the coolest scale I've ever seen. All the scales at the store rate you within .2 pounds, but this scale is accurate within .1 pound. I was seriously concerned that it would fluctuate and give me different weights every time I stepped on, but it actually weights me the same every time. I can step on 4 times and it will read out the same weight down to the tenth at least 3 of the 4 times. With my little daughter it reads the same EVERY time.I tested it with a 10-pound and then a 25-pound weight I had on hand. Truthfully, I'm not even sure how accurate these weights are, but the 10 pound weight measured in at 10.3 pounds, and my 25 pound weight measured in at 25.4 pounds. So I'm not sure if the scale is off by .3 pounds or so or if my weights are off by that much. Truthfully, my weights might be off by that much.... they were cheap weights.Anyway, things I love: a.) It gives you plenty of time between weighing yourself and weighing your kid. It gives you 30 seconds to pick up your kid, which may not seem like a lot, but seriously, you could weigh yourself, step off, go get your kid from another room, calm them down, step on, and get the kid's weight. 30 seconds turns out to be a long time.b.) you can weigh practically anything!c.) You can even measure how much your kiddo has eaten. I weighed my kid, fed her, and weighed her again, and it told me she had risen in weight .2 pounds. And like I said before, it will weigh her the same every time -- her weight is always accurate.d.) Slim slim slim. I had a dial scale before and this scale, in comparison, has more surface area to step on, but is thinner. I like the sleekness. It's a nice-looking scale and fits under pretty much anything.Only 2 cons: i.) the button to switch between modes is on the underside. Why'd they put it down there? i kind of wish it was a switch or a little button along the edge or something. As it is, you have to lift the scale up, switch modes, and then re-calibrate it again before stepping on. (Re-calibrating just means you turn it on and let it go to zero.)ii.) It doesn't weigh stuff that's really really light. For example, neither mode works for weighing my kids' outfit, if I wanted to just weigh her clothes. So something that by itself is very light, it doesn't work for. HOWEVER, it WILL give the difference in weight if I weigh my daughter without her outfit, and then weigh her with her outfit on. So it marks slight fluctuations in heavy-ish objects, but it won't weigh something that's very light (I'd say less than a couple pounds) all on its own.As you can see, neither of my cons are really big deals, and they are far outweighed by how cool this scale is. This scale should totally be advertised and talked up more. Weighs babies AND moms (or dads)?! What other scale does that?? Gives you the weight of any item by itself when you pick it up? Accurate to a tenth of a pound? Consistent? I've read plenty of reviews of other scales that weren't consistent in their readings. This one does great.An all-round excellent scale.Not to mention that the company shipped it to me quickly. It arrived within a few days -- and, might I add, it arrived before any of the other items in my order did.
