Arrived nicely packaged, a plus is it comes w/ a body tape measure. At first glance I was bit skeptical as it is glass and a bit delicate looking. It held up and yes the scale talks. I call her Weighty (the actual name of someone I know) and at times she tells me to "stand still please", but just when I am fidgeting. Sometimes she is my friend, sometimes she is a real bitty. She is loud, loud enough to let anyone in the next room know my weight. Keeps me trying even harder to bring that number down. It would be awesome if after a few pounds lost if she said "Good job lightening my load there." Or after a sodium filled day she could say "I think you are retaining water, you water buffalo." I like the scale because I can weigh myself w/out my eyeglasses on first thing in the morning, besides those glasses would probably add .2 lbs. Before I bought this scale I looked around at a few box stores and the price and quality of this one just can't be beat. I got the black one and it looks sharp. My previous scale (another brand) was acting up- it was white plastic and showed every speck of dirt. As for accuracy this scale has been spot on. I haven't had any problems with my weight changing from one minute to the next. I made sure to test it out because this was what my old scale was doing; I don't think it is possible to gain 3 lbs in a minute! Would highly recommend this scale, price can't be beat!

I got this scale the other day in hopes of losing weight (you know, to lose it, you need to know where you started... and what your weight is currently... scales are important). This scale seemed like a good deal, I liked the design, and the talking feature (which can be disabled as well, by the way) seemed like a good motivator because I'm forced to not only *see* my weight, but *hear* it too. So far, so good.I've had a couple times where I couldn't get the scale to turn on/recognize I was trying to use it or have a delay but it may be the batteries (though I've only had it a few days and it included new batteries). As for the previous 1 star reviewer, I have had a couple times where the scale said "stand still" a few times, but at most only 5-6 and it stopped once I was truly holding still/balancing. Certainly not 19 times, which would be incredibly annoying!For the features it comes with, the price, and the audio aspect, I really liked it and I'd recommend it! :)

Seems pretty accurate. Unfortunately it doesn't turn on with a simple tap. I have to lift part of it sometime to get the feet to register.But definitely a great scale for the price. Only change I would like is if you could change the volume of how loud the voice is. I've just shut it off because it's so loud in my bathroom.
