This Health o meter Professional Digital bathroom floor scale features an easy-to-clean plastic platform and a heavy duty metal base inside. The extra-large display is very easy-to-read and displays an accurate reading in only a few seconds. Button on bottom can switch display from pounds to kilograms. This new high-capacity digital bathroom scale weighs up to 440 lbs in increments of 0.1 lbs (or 200 kg x 50 g). The 844KL features four durable, high precision weighing sensors for years of accurate weighings and includes 2 long-life lithium batteries. 3 year factory limited warranty from Healthometer.

Health O Meter continually lives up to it's reputation of high quality and accuracy. Years ago I owned a conventional Health o Meter scale, like the kind you'd find as a kid in the doctor's office with clunky weights and balances. I knew of and already trusted the brand. So it is no suprise that I am well pleased with 844KL digital model. Very easy to use, light weight and slim for easy storage and comes with the battery preinstalled so it can be used straight out of the box!The display screen is large and clear and very easy to read. If you have need of a high capacity bathroom scale with accurate results, you simply can't go wrong with this one and the price is right for one of such high quality.

I ordered a 822KL but received a 844KL instead. Not a deal breaker since they're similar and the same price,I kept it.It worked ok at first, but soon I noticed that I or my wife would weigh exactly the same weight for up to11 days in a row. What actually happens is that it will register only certain weights in certain ranges.For instance, I get on the scale and it weighs 181.8, and if I weigh myself holding one to several 4 oz weights,it continues to weigh 181.8 each time until I am holding 4 or 5 weights, then it registers 182.9, but won'tregister any weight in between these two readings. In some other weight ranges, it will register weightsin a more continuous manner, as one would expect it to.I called the manufacturer's customer service, and they said this was NORMAL.One thing I use the scale for is to weigh our cats occasionally. This type of scale isn't useable in the0-10 lb range, so I weigh myself and the cat, then myself, then subtract. With the above noted problem,the results are very inconsistent and inaccurate. I previously had a scale with only 0.2 lb resolution,and that one was much more accurate and consistent than this one. I then ordered another 822KL (they sentthe right one this time) and it has the same problem.The second problem that developed is a LO (low battery) display that would come one most but not all ofthe time even with two fresh batteries that measure over 3 volts each. If I step on the scale severaltimes (waiting for it to turn off between tries), it will eventually show a normal display and I can weigh myself.I'm returning it to the manufacturer for a replacement, although they said the replacement is not likeleyto be any more accurate or consistent than the first one. I'm keeping the second one, as they won't givea refund, and state that a replacement would not be any better than the one I have.
