My former housemate had a Tanita HD351 (Tanita HD351 Digital Scale with Memory Function) that I really liked, but I didn't need something with so many memory slots. My requirements were at least 1 memory slot, and 0.1 lbs precision. This LifeSource scale meets those needs nicely.Cons (vs. the Tanita):- Not a very large surface area, so my toes hang over when I weigh myself. I'm a men's size 10. Not a big deal for me.- Harder to view your stored previous weight. On the Tanita, it shows you the previous weight when you press the memory button. I liked that better. With the LifeSource, you have to press a sequence of buttons to get it instead.Pros (vs. the Tanita):- Smaller form factor.- Calculates BMI as well.- Stores a history of your weight, instead of just the last one.- Not as expensive.- 2 memory slots vs. 5 on the Tanita (may be a con for some).Not that big a deal for me, is that it's weight limit is lower than the Tanita's. Overall I'm liking this scale.

I have used this scale for a month and am happy that it is more accurate and more stable than the previous scale I used. I like that it measures to tenths of a pound. I find that if I stand on the scale the same way each time without shifting my weight from one measurement to the next provides the greatest degree of consistency. This is a small scale and the average adult foot is going to hang over the edge a bit but I have not found this to be a problem and I appreciate the small footprint it takes in the bathroom.

I just love this scale. Its vary vary accurate considering its only about 3 lbs and so small.I have a Pelouze shipping scale that costs me $175 and this scale is more accurate because it measures 1/10th instead of the .5 lbs of the Pelouze. But they are in sink wich shows this scale is probably calibrated nicely!I think the only way to get more accurate results would be to buy a $160 triple balance beam Doctors scale like a Detecto that takes up lots of space. I used to have one and there vary nice but probably overkill for most people!I like the fact that it can be taken on trips.When I weigh my self 3 or 4 times in a row I get slight variations. For example 158.1, 158.2 158.1, I think this is excellent accuracy for such a small scale. If I drink 3 oz of water and then go back and weight my self again...sure enough I will see the 3 oz added!! For me this is plenty of accuracy for my purpose of keeping track of my weight.I have not really tested it on carpet. It has attachable carpet feet but I can't really say how accurate it is on carpet. I know some scales will not work well on carpeting.The price is a bit high...but the quality is excellent! And the build is vary nice.I'm vary happy with it and might consider getting a second unit as a backup.
