I have a very small bathroom and not enough room for a floor scale, but this one slides perfectly behind the door when it's not in use. Best of all I don't have to bend down to pick it up, it just glides across the floor with a nudge of the foot. The only tricky part is balancing on it and staying still to get a reading. Sometimes this takes a second try, but once you've got it there is a nice loud beep and the bright display gives me a clearly legible reading. This is now my early morning ritual for and a great aid for losing weight.

I was looking for a travel scale because I regularly take very active trips of several weeks, during which it's hard to know if I'm eating too much because I cannot easily judge how many calories I'm burning when, for example, hiking up and down the sides of mountains for five to seven hours every day. This scale, at 1 lb 1 oz in its original box with bubble wrap, is light enough to take with me to wilderness hiking lodges or to pack in my luggage when flying. It works fine and gives the same reading as my home bathroom scale. As another reviewer notes, you have to balance carefully on it because it's so small, and the manual warns against using it on carpet. But it's lighter than the other travel scales listed. I'm giving it five stars. Now I'll have early warning if I start gaining weight while traveling.

The scale is super cute and actually does fit into the bigger one of my handbags. The measurements seem pretty accurate and reproducible. Obviously, it is not so easy to find a stable position on this thing as it is really tiny. So it is kind of annoying that you actually have to stand really still for several seconds before the scale beeps and shows you your weight. That takes a bit of practice. I have really big feet (for a woman) so someone with smaller feet might find it easier. Other than that, I am pretty happy with this purchase.
